Convert an 8.5×11 eBay PDF to a 4×6 Thermal Label

When eBay places a shipping label on a full Letter-size PDF, sending that page directly to a 4-inch label printer can make the label tiny, rotate it sideways, or cut off part of the barcode. The fixer changes the PDF page itself to match standard 4×6 label stock.

Select the PDF

Use the original shipping-label PDF downloaded from eBay. No screenshot or image conversion is needed.

Automatic crop and rotation

The tool finds the printed label area, removes excess white space, and turns a sideways label upright.

Download and print

Open the new file ending in “- 4x6.pdf” and print it using the 4×6 paper preset at Actual Size.

Made for 4×6 Label and Thermal Printers

The corrected PDF uses the standard 4×6-inch page size expected by most shipping-label printers. It can help with Brother label printers configured for 4-inch shipping labels, as well as Rollo, DYMO 4XL, Zebra, MUNBYN, JADENS, Phomemo, and similar Windows or Mac thermal printers.

Wrong PDF page size

Changes a US Letter 8.5×11 shipping-label PDF into an actual 4×6 PDF instead of merely shrinking the full page.

Sideways eBay labels

Automatically detects landscape label content and rotates the finished thermal label to the correct portrait orientation.

Barcode quality preserved

Keeps the original PDF content rather than making a blurry screenshot, helping text and shipping barcodes stay sharp.

eBay Thermal Label Printer Settings

After converting the file, these settings prevent Windows, your PDF viewer, or the printer driver from resizing it a second time.

Recommended print settings

  • Paper size: 4×6 inches or 100×150 mm
  • Scale: Actual Size or 100%
  • Orientation: portrait or automatic
  • Turn off “Multiple pages per sheet”
  • Use the manufacturer’s correct Windows or Mac printer driver

If the corrected label is still cut off

  • Confirm the printer driver is not still set to Letter or another roll size.
  • Check that the selected stock matches the printer’s 4×6 preset.
  • Recalibrate the label gap or media sensor if the printer skips or misaligns labels.
  • Try printing from Adobe Acrobat Reader using Actual Size.

eBay 4×6 Label Printing FAQ

Why does my eBay shipping label print too small and sideways?

The PDF itself may be an 8.5×11-inch Letter page with a smaller label placed sideways near the top. A 4×6 thermal-printer driver tries to fit that entire Letter page onto one label, making the postage label tiny, sideways, or partially clipped.

Can eBay generate a 4×6 label directly?

Some versions of eBay’s advanced shipping workflow provide a 4×6 thermal-label print format. If that setting is available, use it for future labels. This converter is useful when eBay still gives you a Letter-size PDF, when the setting is unavailable, or when you already downloaded the label.

Does this work with Brother label printers?

Yes, when the Brother printer and installed label stock support approximately 4-inch-wide shipping labels and the driver has the matching paper preset. The output is a standard 4×6 PDF; the printer’s supported media size still matters.

Are my customer’s address and shipping label uploaded?

No. The file is processed locally in your browser. The PDF, address, tracking number, and barcode are not sent to Accent Computer Services.

Will this void or change my postage?

No. The tool changes the PDF page dimensions and orientation, not the purchased postage or tracking number. Always inspect the finished label before mailing and make sure every barcode and address line is visible.

Why should I use the original PDF instead of a screenshot?

The original PDF normally contains sharper text and barcode data. Cropping the PDF avoids the resolution loss that can occur when a label is captured as a screenshot and enlarged.
